THUNDERLAKE SPEEDWAY will be offering the "BOX STOCK" ADULT CLONE MOTOR CLASS in 2010. This will be a 365 lb weight class and is geared for the economy racer. Rules will be posted in March, or call John for information on the CLONE CLASS.
If interested, call John at 913-207-4868. We will have the 2010 Schedule posted March 1, 2010. In the meantime, call John with any questions. We will start assigning pit stalls on March 2, based on the order the requests are received.
ANNOUNCEMENT PROTECTIVE CLOTHING CHANGE FOR 2009: 1) In accordance with 2008 KART rules, in 2009, Thunderlake will require full coverage (full face) helmets designed for competitive motorsports use complying at Snell 2000, SFI ratings 24.1 (youth), 31.1, 31.1a, 41.1, 41.1a, or newer standards. Effective 2010, the helmet classification ratings will be SA2005, K2005, M2005 and/or previously stated SFI ratings. 2) All Rookies, Jr. Am, Jr 1's and Jr 2's will be required to wear a chest protection device with SFI specification 20.1 certification any time they are on the race track. Although these changes aren't effective until next season, we are advising you this year so if you are purchasing new or starting new, you will want to consider purchasing this equipment. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. These spec's are detailed in the Jan 2008 Kart Rule Book on page Any questions, please call 913 334-5766. See you soon, John Fotovich |
